TENNIS:oh,how I love you!

I have loved racquet sports for several years, starting with(and continuing today)badminton, which I have played with Appa whenever he is available, and itching to sweat it out(and Amma,if she ever wanted to play),and continuing with tennis, which I played(and watched, sometimes with fierce passion)in the USA in the past.

Now,why do I want to talk about one of my passions, because it could lead to whole pages on it,because so many players are involved across the world?I admired specific players then, and still do,Roger Federer among the men,and Justine Henin among the ladies. Both single handers, which meant I tried to emulate their strokes as much as possible, which meant my tennis strokes closest came to resemble Justine Henin's over time, not because I admired Federer less(which wouldn't be possible in the world of sanity),but because, quite honestly, while Federer is a more complete player at the net(look at his success at Wimbledon!),I,not having played so frequently as to hone my skills at the net,was a baseliner. Henin too(she's married now, which gives me a lot of joy),although possessing net skills good enough to frustrate opponents, was primarily a baseliner. I guess the WTA player one could compare to Federer could have been Amelie Mauresmo from France, also a natural on grass, but Henin was the more achievable target for a budding tennis player, being primarily a baseliner.

So I was the male Henin-wannabe.
I should have another blogpost about my travels to the US Open in 2011,but later!.......
