Correction of phraseology

1)I wrote an email to an acquaintance,who gave a link to a completely new service(the IBM Watson Assistants program) and asked me to make sense of the process.Part of my email was:[So it is something that requires learning,but having an idea of what we'll be using it after it is learned for will make the process more efficient].

His earlier response to my question[ and how can I use it profitably?] 
: "no idea".

So will I be floundering clumsily if I continue to work this out?Probably!
