I feel stymied when asked to elaborate on the gifts of someone very close to me,like Amma or Mohan or Appa, for I am confounded by the need to be as wordy as anyone could but not posessing equal gifts of exposition in English.
The video above shows Amma thumbing through her diaries of the time she spent in Prince George's hospital when I was recovering from my TBI in Levindale Hebrew and Geriatric Center,Baltimore [my photos of the time,at Google Photos:Levindale]
Some things that stand out to me each time I glance at Amma's diaries are:
*Her appropriate glorification of my handwriting, which blossomed from a rude scrawl to chiseled letters over time.
*testing my vocabulary
*writing in Tamil
* making me give written answers to certain questions, primarily to gauge the state of my mind.
